Jordanian consumer confidence increased during the third quarter of 2026 according to the latest data from Ipsos. The Ipsos Consumer Confidence Index for Jordan reached 42.6 points for the period. This result represents a rise of 1.1 points compared to the 41.5 points recorded in the second quarter of 2026. The index also shows a significant improvement over the previous year, climbing 6.6 points from the 36 points registered during the same period in 2025.
Economic Sentiment and National Outlook
The sub-index measuring confidence in the domestic economy rose 8.6 points to reach 58.5 out of 100. Survey results indicate that 50 percent of respondents expect economic conditions to improve over the next six months. Public sentiment remains positive regarding the nation's trajectory, as 64 percent of consumers stated that Jordan was moving in the right direction. Ipsos also placed the country in the fourth position among 23 nations included in its international comparison. These data points reflect a shift in national outlook during the third quarter of 2026. The findings provide a specific view of how individuals perceive the current fiscal climate and future growth prospects within the country.
Job Security and Financial Concerns
The personal financial confidence sub-index dropped 3.1 points during the third quarter of 2026, reaching a level of 30.2. In contrast, the general job security confidence sub-index recorded a gain of 5.2 points, rising to 50.3. Despite this improvement in perceived job security, labor market conditions remain a primary pressure point for the public. Ipsos survey results show that 56 percent of respondents identified unemployment and job opportunities as major concerns for their households. Additionally, 54 percent of respondents pointed to inflation as a major concern affecting their financial stability. These figures illustrate a split in consumer sentiment, as individuals weigh concerns regarding the cost of living and employment against their personal financial outlook.
