DF UNCAGED is scheduled to take place on 30 October 2026 at the Roman Theatre in Amman, Jordan. Zaid Mirza, the founder of DF UNCAGED, described the upcoming event as a significant milestone for the sport. "When we started in Amman in 2010, the goal was simple; give Arab fighters a professional stage at home," Mirza said. "Jordan MMA Week takes that further. For six days, the world will see the Citadel, the Dead Sea and the Roman Theatre through the eyes of the fight. That is good for MMA, good for Jordan and good for every young athlete in this region who will look at this and know what is possible. This isn’t a comeback. It’s the next chapter."
Championship Fight Card Details
The championship features professional fighters from 16 nations and consists of 14 international bouts. Promoter Mohammad Mirza stated, "We didn’t want a regional show with a few imported names. We wanted a former ACA champion in the main event, an Ultimate Fighter winner in the co-main, fighters from 16 countries and Arab stars who can stand with any of them. Putting a cage, a live broadcast and a full international production inside a monument that is almost 1,900 years old is the hardest thing we’ve ever done. That’s exactly why we did it."
Mukhammad Berkhamov (17-3) will face Dante Schiro (13-6) in a 176-pound catchweight main event. Andrew Sanchez (14-9) will face Mikhail Ragozin (25-7) in a middleweight co-main event. Mohammad Fakhreddine (18-5) will face John Martin Fraser (11-6) in a 202-pound catchweight contest.
Local Talent and Participation
Four Jordanian athletes are scheduled to compete during the championship event. These fighters represent the host nation among the international roster of competitors. Organizers have integrated these local participants into the broader fight card to provide professional exposure within the Roman Theatre. Their inclusion follows the initiative of event leadership to showcase domestic talent alongside international athletes from 16 different countries. The presence of these four fighters serves to highlight the development of the sport in Jordan since the inception of local professional matches in 2010. Specific bout assignments for the Jordanian contingent remain part of the final event schedule.
Origins of Desert Force
Zaid Mirza and Mohammad Mirza established the organization known as Desert Force in Amman in 2010. The founding of the promotion served to create a platform for professional combat sports within the region. Since its inception, the league has focused on organizing professional matches that feature both domestic and international athletes. The move to establish the organization in Amman provided a consistent venue for fighters to compete professionally. This foundational work in 2010 established the initial framework for the events currently held in the city. The operational history of Desert Force remains linked to its start in the capital of Jordan, where the organization began its professional activities. By initiating these matches, the founders aimed to build a sustainable environment for athletes to develop their careers locally. These early efforts provided the basis for subsequent championship events now hosted in the city.
Jordan MMA Week Initiative
Jordan MMA Week functions as a six-day sporting initiative designed to showcase professional competition across Jordan. The program organizes activities and bouts at several historical sites, including the Amman Citadel, the Dead Sea, and the Roman Theatre. By hosting these events over the course of the week, the initiative aims to provide international exposure to the region and its athletes. Organizers scheduled these matches to run alongside the main championship card, integrating various cultural locations into the professional fight schedule. The initiative serves to highlight the development of combat sports within the country while utilizing landmarks for the international broadcast.
